Microshaft has decided on a Pay-as-you-go software that monitors processing power and other items and charges based on usage.
HOLE-LEE FREAKING CURSEWORD! Does their greed know know bounds?!!?!
Anways, I know this is an aside, and will post an actual journal entry later on today. Until then:
RTFA. (And for the non-internet meme literate: Read the Freaking Article.)

So, Sara’s got this Spider bite. It’s alot like the ones I had. Anyways, it’s got pus in it, and is infected. I had gone to the store for her, to get a syringe (needleless); and met this woman named Beth.
She’s about 40-ish, give or take a few. She smelled like old concealer. It’s a waxen, brittle, smudgey smell. She wasn’t wearing any makeup, so I am guessing it’s from the lanolin in her lotion. She was restocing the shelves in the Pain Relief section of Walgreens. We talked for a few brief moments, recanting stories of our holiday season. She had her two kids, who are now 15 and 12, with her over the holidays; presumably because she is divorced, a widower, or split up. I didn’t check for the ring/tan lines.
Anyways, she had bought them a Playstation 3, with a few games. I compared my kids gifts, and she said she wished her children were still grateful for gettting gets, instead of demanding the expensive ones. I said, “Yeah, but if they didn’t grow up, when would you see their School Recitals and Play Productions?”
After she directed me to the items I needed, I headed to the checkout. She said that she had to go grap her scanner, but to meet her at the register. I went to the register, perusing the usual suspects: Dark Chocolate M&M’s, Snickers, Various Gums and hard candies, Enquirer and Star Magazines, and a few other hapless items doing nothing more than occupying empty counterspace.
I waited for her to show for almost 6 minutes, until someone appeared at the register. It was my regular girl: Sarah. She’s a blond, 36 Year old woman. Chain Smoker. She was delighted to help. I told her about Beth. She said no one here has that name. So, I naturally paid for my items and went back to check the area Beth was in. Sure enough: Noting was there but the items, as they had been laid out.
Obviously another hallucination. This time I couldn’t tell. It’s getting worse again, and I’m going to have to see someone. Bah. Not looking forward to that. It does beg to question, though: Who led me to the items? She was obviously not real, so did I know that it was there all along? If that was the case, then how?

Kayla decided today that she was going to get another Rat to keep Jane company, since George is now eating table-scraps from Tara’s Teaparty in the Sky. The new rat’s name is April, and she is very friendly, albeit a smidgen on the timid side. She’s a beautiful black Dumbo, with milky-white paws and a smooth, cream underbelly. She’s also a climber. She seemed happy enough, despite the environmental change, and I think they will get along. Rats are pack animals, they don’t really enjoy living in solitude anyways. Hopeful to post pictures later.
Took the dewormer to the kittehs. I can has healthy kittehs?

Today, at Work, I played with Legos! I will post the pictures later. We also had some interesting conversations about a website: wellperfumedass.com. There is no link, because the website is non-functional. Howtodostupidthings.com is a real page however, just nothing worth note on it yet.

Found a bunch of people I know from facebook today. This is good – It confirms some of my memories of Sunshine Acres, and lets me know that alot of the people I care for were not hallucinations.
Also irritated my friend Mr. G, by becoming a fan of a bunch of bands, actors, and a few (a VERY select few) TV shows. He’s been having a bad time lately. I worry about him often, but he is unaware of this, I think.

Got the new Acer Aspire One. Not sure if Sara wants it, and I get the old laptop; or vice-versa. Haven’t shown it to her yet. I want to be selfish, but it’s really not in my character (Note to self: Damnit!). I get Luciene and Amaris all day today. Thank the Gods for Sugarfree Redbulls. Without them, on Saturdays I’d be lost.

Today is the New Moon, and it is the first one of the New Year. It is a time for change, and I can feel it pulling on my heart. We shall see how this goes, but I think this year will be a good one, with some unexpected changes. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Got a really good Nap today. No out of the ordinary dreams, and I only woke twice. Went to the movies and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. In my honest opinion, it was a good movie. Not my first choice, but it was raining; and we wanted out of the cold.

I admit, this has absolutely nothing to do with this blog, or what it is about. But I did find it to be the Single, Coolest Animated Gif I’ve ever seen:

Yesterday we celebrated Yule. The year has finally come to an end, and the days will begin elongating, while the nights become shorter. We take it for granted now that we will survive through the winter, whereas our ancestors took this day as a mark for the worst of the winter passing, the Gods smiling upon us; and the latter half of the journey being the easier part.
In the tradition that was established within our family, we exchanged gifts(Click here for the Pictures, scroll to the right) and had Yule Dinner. Luciene and Amaris had a blast, and are well satisfied with their gifts. There is also a surplus of food now. I’m grateful that things are finally settling down. School is looking more and more like a possibility, and although my life may not be exactly where I want it to be, it seems that the Gods have a different plan. Read the rest of this entry »

Last night, one of the only two rats I have ever befriended died. She was a naked Dumbo rat named George. I don’t deal well with these things, So I am leaving it at that.
Good Bye, George.

Again, Yule is this Sunday, if you are attending. Please – Do not bring gifts. Food, Games, Rumors, Drinks: All Ok! Desserts? Especially OK! Please do bring Desserts. As a matter of fact, if you MUST bring something as a gift, bring a dessert. Desserts are always welcome as gifts!
Or tea… Yes… Definitely – Tea is welcome.
Anyways, here is the Map. (And I’m not sure if it will publish or not, so be patient if it doesn’t.)

Today, while I was driving to work, I noticed something moving in my rearview mirror. As I reached my hand forward and adjusted it to get a better view, it looked as though the man in the truck behind me was having a seizure. Lanky, think, and scruffed, he was wearing a skullcap with attached earcovers; and a worn, but full down-filled jacket, of the dull, greyish variety. He looked like the a cross between Mike Rowe and Casper the Friendly Ghost. His truck was battered – almost what one would call “War Torn”, and I kept expecting it to rear-end me. I remeber thinking that, if possible, I might need to run the red light because his truck probably didn’t have insurance. It took a few minutes, but as I watched him, a small sort of pattern emerged; ungainly movement and arm flailing became repetitive patterns. The other thing that was noticible: He was smiling.
